Welcome to Northville's Pack 721! We are an active Cub Scout Pack in Northville, Michigan. Boys in first through fifth grade are welcome to join at any time during the year. We are charted by Our Lady of Victory but we are in every sense a community Pack, drawing boys from many area schools.  We are one of a very few packs who have a history of more than 60 years and there are currently approximately 80 scouts in the pack.

Pack meetings take place monthly September through May and are generally on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. and may be held at OLV, Moraine or at another location in Northville. In addition to the monthly Pack meeting we also sponsor pack events of interest to the whole family.  Please explore our website for information about our exciting upcoming activities and meetings.  If you would like more information or are interested in joining Pack 721 please contact us using the link on the left hand side.  We are looking forward to speaking with you.

Thank You for Volunteering to Help the Pack Go!

Posted on Oct 26 2014 - 5:00pm

We are a thriving pack with 67 cub scouts this year and are fortunate to have 29 parents who have volunteered for specific leadership positions to help our pack go! We have filled our Cubmaster, Assistant Cubmaster, Pack Committee Chair, all our Den Leader positions, Popcorn Sales, Program Coordinator, Treasurer, T-Shirt Coordinator, Advancement, Pinewood Derby Chair and Scouting for Food Chair positions. That is a lot of great leadership, all of which are necessary to the success of our pack's scouting program. All of our Webelos II/Arrow of Light parents are also on the Blue & Gold Banquet Committee for this event which will take place in March. All parents are required to participate at the pack level in some capacity and are encouraged to attend the Pack Committee meeting, which takes place typically on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at OLV from 7:30-8:50. At this point, we still have several important positions to fill to make this a successful year:  Pack Committee Vice-Chair, Secretary, PR Chair, Membership and Outdoor Activity/Day Camp Chair. Here is a link with job descriptions for each of these:  http://www.scouting.org/scoutsource/CubScouts/Leaders/About/ThePack/pcomm.aspx. We are also in need of a Webmaster to help with the pack721.org website. This person attends pack committee meetings, updates the website on a weekly basis, helps pack parents with password/registration questions and assists den leaders and other leaders with the process of entering their event information. We also have a Programs Committee and these parents each volunteer to help plan one event for the entire pack during the year. Without this group, we would not be able to offer all of the great outings and events that we enjoy as a pack! Please consider which of these positions might be right for you. You might team up with another parent together in one position. Each scout family is asked to volunteer in one of these areas. Please email Wende Boerema at boerema5@me.com with any questions or if you have a specific area in which you would like to volunteer. Thank you!

Scouting Blog

Bryan on Scouting is the official blog of Scouting magazine, a Boy Scouts of America publication, and is specifically for BSA adult leaders. However, all those interested in any level of scouting, whether cub scouts, boy scouts, ventures (boys and girls) or sea scouts, will find it an interesting read.
